Jefferson Aryettey, a Ghanaian accountant, has finally aced his level of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) after failing 23 times.
Aryettey recounted how tough the journey was and how he was able to overcome the hurdles to accomplish his lifelong dream. The accountant revealed that it took him more than a decade to finally pass after several attempts.
According to him, “Six years, 23 exams sittings and 13 passes later, to God be the glory, I DID IT! What a journey it has been! After 23 collective attempts, I finally passed every level of the ACCA charter!!! What a humbling experience.”
He added, “I began my ACCA journey in level 100 at the University of Ghana and I aspired to attain ACCA destination by the end of my final year.”
“Boy I was wrong, failure after failure, and I also struggled financially, I would query myself about whether this “Pro Accountant thing” was for me or if I was worth it because it seemed outright impossible.”
“Today, I am a proud member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.”
The Ghanaian accountant admonished people to keep pushing and never to give up on whatever dream they have.
He admonished, “I know someone out there reading this is ready to give up on their ACCA journey, but I am here to encourage you that as long as you stay in that ring and fight, no matter the number of rounds, that title will be won. Painful victory tastes sweetest.”
